Theresa, owner of Soulful SUP and Yoga, will be teaching both paddle instruction and yoga. When she began practicing yoga, she never thought it would be something she could do on a board. She completed her 200hr RYT in June of 2015 and her SUP Yoga Certification and Paddlefit Coach Certification in August of 2016. She also holds a masters degree in Therapeutic Recreation and teaches yoga in many different settings. “I can’t wait to have you on the water.” https://soulfulsupandyoga.com
Tracy Remelius is a long time SheJumps supporter and currently SheJumps’ partnership director. Additionally she’s taught hundreds of beginners how to Stand Up Paddle and is incredibly grateful. She leads SUP, SUP Yoga, and other outdoor retreats at Kripalu Yoga Center. She’s yoga certified since 2008 and completed her SUP American Canoe Association L1 Instructor and Yoga Endorsement in 2016. She’s been wanting to host a SheJumps SUP event for years and is thrilled to be partnering with Soulful SUP and Yoga and the Arcadian Shop to make it happen!
WHAT IS PROVIDED: Board rental, paddle, personal flotation device, instruction (If you have your own board you must provide your own paddle and personal flotation device).
WHAT TO BRING:
• Lunch (optional)
• Bathing suit
• Change of clothing
• There will be no place to store personal items or car keys, suggested to hide key or bring a waterproof pouch to store keys in.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Dress to get wet. A bathing suit, shorts, and a t-shirt, and water shoes work well on a warm summer day. Always bring a fleece top or wool sweater, windbreaker, and wool socks in case the weather turns cooler. Bring a towel and an extra set of clothing to change into after your trip. We provide paddles and personal flotation devices (PFDs). All guests using a SUP rental are required to wear their PFD at all times when on the water. Massachusetts State Law requires that one PFD per person be on each board at all times and that children under the age of 13 wear a PFD at all times.
The Stockbridge Bowl Public Boat Launch is located at 106 Interlaken Road (Rte 183) in Stockbridge, MA.
