Take your kayaking to a whole new level with Paddle Pump! and Pop-ups, an adventure paddle infused with a fitness program designed to give you a “fat-blasting, full-body workout”.
Created by NFPT Certified Personal Trainer Reyna Texler, Paddle Pump! is a 3-hour kayaking tour that begins with a light paddle on the Hudson River, followed by an intense workout on the beach, then a break for some swimming and snacks, and ends with a paddle. This tour challenges both fitness enthusiasts and paddlers alike, and with Reyna’s high-energy style, is certain to put your body to work and amp up your metabolism.
When we asked Reyna where she found her inspiration for Paddle Pump!, she told us, “Being a personal trainer, a kayak guide for Hudson River Expeditions and a bit of an “out-of-the-box thinker”, I wanted to find a way to combine my love of fitness with my love of kayaking throughout the Hudson Highlands.
That’s when Paddle Pump! was born. My goal was to create an opportunity that encouraged people of all fitness and paddling levels to explore fitness out of the gym and enjoy nature’s playground along the Hudson River.” Sounds like our kind of adventure.
Paddle Pump! is offered at the Hudson River Expeditions, a paddling specialty shop located in Cold Spring, New York, and will be offering this tour on July 26th, August 9th, and September 6th. Cost is $90. Open to all fitness levels. Private group lessons are also offered.
